Broadway watched Phantom of the Opera run its final performance on Sunday after 35 years. Queen is back on tour in 2023 with Adam Lambert fronting the band. Live shows start in October in Baltimore with 45 solid days of music ending in California at San Francisco and Los Angeles. TicketMaster sucks. They created a massive frenzy for Taylor Swift's "Eras Tour" and then couldn't manage to fulfill orders for what they called a "historic demand". This isn't the first time a major artist has announced and sold tickets for a multi city football arena style tour.

It's mind numbing that a company so big and with such a monopoly on the primary ticket market can continuously put out such a lackluster product year after year. Unfortunately, the major venues are all tied to TicketMaster leaving competent companies who probably could handle the demand left outside of the space.

They effectively made everyone wanting to be a part of this tour jump through all kinds of silly hoops only to close the circus down before it even began. We've heard from so many friends and clients how disappointing the entire process has been. West Coast sales delayed, Capital One sales delayed, ugh.

TicketMaster let down hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of fans today and somehow the blame for their incompetence will shift to the secondary market, unscrupulous brokers and other nonsense to cover up their ineptitude. Out.

We're "old school" at CST and we think the difference in game 5 between the Astros and the Phillies came down to small ball. The Astros played some hit and run in the 8th putting Altuve into scoring position at third with 1 out. Alvarez blasts an infield shot driving the winning run home. In contrast, the Phillies get Bryson Stott to third with 1 out. Instead of playing for contact, Brandon Marsh swings out of his shoes and eventually strikes out. Schwarber hits into a perfectly placed Mancini to end the inning.

The long ball looks pretty but it's the small things that win games. Astros got the small things done in game 5.

The NCAA Men's Basketball tournament is one of the most unique events in all of sports because it gives the David schools a legitimate opportunity to take on and possibly beat Goliath. And the 1st round did not disappoint with #15 Saint Peter's taking down #2 Kentucky. The massive upset broke all but 753 brackets out of over 17 million on ESPN.
