This is a page in the back of my book.
Su***de has become a major problem in our country. More people need to step up and get involved. We're losing friends and family, and missing out on some awesome memories that just never happen. It's hard to see, and most of the time we don't know how bad it is until it's to late. There are places you can go or numbers you can call to get help. My phone is always by my side. If you want to talk anytime 24/7 I'll talk to you. We truly need to find away to stop this

People play softball to hang with friends and escape everyday issues. Even if it's only an hour or so. When a person takes the game from outside the foul lines and off the field. It's time for that person to stop playing softball. Today a good friend of mine may lose their life, due to people taking it past the foul lines. Was losing a son, father, friend truly worth that win or loss. Softball is a game! Life is not!

This "game" is very important to many people for many reasons. The softball community is what I refer to as a modern day "church". Just as it is/was for folks who embrace/embraced religion, it goes far beyond the "house" that everyone sits in. The diamond is a gathering place for people with a shared interest that has a following of people that come together. While enjoying this time you get to understand that softball is simply the shared interest, but the importance and stronghold of it relies entirely within all the things that go far beyond the "game". As a community, we always help each other when we need it, we have peers to show us the way, and we have the unsung heroes that are the ones who put in so much time and effort for this to not lose the "house" that is necessary for it to happen just as custodians do for churches and schools. These people should be treated with the utmost respect and are people that are seldom recognized for their input on the equation. So to whomever the people that do all of this for everyone, it does not go unrecognized or unnoticed to those of us who genuinely understand the importance of why keeping things like softball going and as option for a past time, thank you so very much!
