Moore Newz Productions Song Writing Duo and Production Team from Metro Detroit The result was a song entitled “Right from the Start”. And the team is writing GOOD SONGS!

Moore Newz Productions began its operation in 1984; the brainchild of Michael Moore and Garon Newz Smith, who worked together in the band “Soundproof” in Michigan. Michael; a hardworking firefighter for the city of Inkster, and a prolific guitarist began working with Newz when he brought a melody and lyrics to him. Although the song never made the charts the duo began collaborating consistently. A

t the same time Michael began a secondary career as an audio engineer, and became a top called studio engineer around the city, working with artists such as The Dramatics, Johnny Bristol, and even the legendary Aretha Franklin, and The Rolling Stones. Michael also played guitar on one of the songs for the blockbuster movie: “La Bamba”. Although surrounded by a number of successful songwriters and producers, Moore & Newz were quickly being recognized for their quality material, which led to their first national song placement with artist Deniece Williams, entitled “There’s No Other” in 1987. After a brief hiatus; Moore Newz Productions has been reestablishing itself with quality music for the masses. “Of course we love writing and producing R&B and Pop music, but a good song is a good song” says Michael. Now with the backing of CTU Records, Moore Newz’ Productions have designed two (2) recording studios, both running Pro Tools with a wide array of outboard gear for professional recording and mixing sessions. Along with the rest of their production team of Tim Williams, and Don Moore, Moore Newz productions has completed projects on artists like the Grammy nominated artist; Carl Carlton (of Everlasting Love and Bad Mamma Jamma fame). Moore Newz Productions has also just recently finished production on the debut CD for Roxanne Dawson an up and coming artist on the Famous Records’ label located in Florida. Always eager to work with good talent: Moore Newz Productions is looking to work with new and established artists, publishers, and film companies on new projects. “If there is one word that could define the music we write and produce, it’s CLASS”, says Newz. “Our music gets people back to the basics: of love without an agenda, and soul without compromise!” We don’t fake it-We are who we are, and we believe that soon the world will know that Moore Newz Productions is a force to be reckoned with.
