Earlier today, an intense line of storms formed across W. Missouri and rapidly moved east. Much of the intensity faded when reaching the Mississippi River. This timelapse shows the race and towering clouds. khqa.com/weather

Satellite/radar shows a line of severe thunderstorms that popped up across western Missouri moving quickly east. So far, tornadic activity has been confined to western Iowa. The severe weather threat should end by 11PM. khqa.com/weather

New sunspot AR3685 erupted today producing a strong M7-class solar flare. This could follow the path most of the U.S. saw as Aurora last week! Stay tuned!
