When the Motown formula went Hollywood.

"The Last Dragon" is an action-comedy produced by Berry Gordy and directed by Michael Schultz. The film was a financial success earning over $30 million and on a $10 million budget. It starred Taimak, Vanity, Julius Carry, Christopher Murney, Faith Prince, Leo O'Brien, Mike Starr, and Jim Moody and featured a soundtrack released by Motown Records.

After the end of the blaxploitation era in the 1970s, black filmmaking significantly declined, and few producers were releasing black films during the early 80s. However, the landscape of black culture was shifting, and "The Last Dragon" came at the right time. Today, the movie has evolved into a cult classic, finding its way into pop culture.

Black martial artists hit the film scene in 1973 when Jim Kelly appeared in "Enter the Dragon." In 1974, Jim Kelly starred in "Black Belt Jones," and Ron Van Clief was in "The Black Dragon." Ron Van Clief didn't receive Kelly's fanfare but proved influential to those who followed his career and training. He instructed Taimak, who eventually became the star of "The Last Dragon."

We’re just so happy and excited that The Weeknd teamed up with Swedish House Mafia for “Nothing Is Lost” (You Give Me Strength) soundtrack.

Its official music video was just released 13 days ago, and already has 1.8M views!

Surpassing the official lyric video currently at 1.6M views and should undoubtedly surpass the official visualizer currently at 2.9M views.

The attorney accused MGA of releasing 31 dolls that were improperly based on the OMG Girls image.

It ended with a mistrial Wednesday after a judge found that “testimony accusing the company of cultural appropriation was improperly played for the jury.”

The attorneys for TIP and Tiny have yet to make an official comment.
