TWO weeks in a row for the Millennials! But that may change as Christy showed up today throwing out the red challenge flag along with yellow penalty flags. She’s asking for last week’s match to be reviewed due to undisclosed rules in the middle of last week’s game. She says she has many Gen Xer’s and even some Boomers backing her and the Millennials would have backed her but they weren’t out of bed yet. Mark is considering it and says the play is under review. We don’t want all the flags to distract from today’s big win though for the Millennials! Congrats Andrea for taking home the Big Cheese Medallion and showing all Millennials that you’ll be ok if you get up before 7am. Grateful we can all take a deep breath…
The Battle of Generations is back and a new fierce competitor showed up on the scene repping the Boomers today. Mama Janna, aka Christy’s mom, came into the studio to dish out her own competitive spirit and it was certainly a nail biter. With a three-way tie at the end, the battle went into an overtime bonus round. Mark brought a question from 1924 and Millennial Lauren shocked us all by getting the question correct and bringing home the big win for the Millennials. We still can’t believe it but Christy said it’s for the best because Millennials haven’t won in 40 years and it’s important to keep their spirits up so she’ll come back to compete again. Congrats Millennials for taking home the golden cheese medallion today. I’m sure Christy is already prepping for next week’s competition. With two weeks in a row losing, this is going to be a dark week for her but Mama Janna is there to console her because that’s what awesome moms do.
Did anyone else see the amazing light displays in the sky last weekend? This video was captured of what’s called an anvil crawler. What a reminder of God’s power and beauty!
Yesterday we launched Kid #3! Each one is a little different… but each time it contains a bittersweet mix of joy and sadness, unknowns and confidence in His good plans. This one is flying off a little further from home, and we are all gonna miss his daily presence of compassion and care. We’re so proud of you son! You’ve got this!!

When God puts people that are specifically gifted in the right places who love God, love people, and love their job, it’s so mesmerizing in all the best ways. I had a chance to visit with Diane (Administrator) and Trina (RN Nurse Navigator) at Apple Creek Health and Rehabilitation in Centerton and the passion in their voices as they shared about the sweet residents who live there or come for rehab was captivating.
I immediately knew God had brought them together as a team and they are making a huge difference at Apple Creek. Their heart for God was obvious and the tender way they interacted with the residents made me want to come hang out there every day. They also have the cutest goldendoodle pup walking around too which I believe was a genius mascot idea on their part. 🙂
I could tell they trust one another, believe in each other, and truly care about the residents. That leadership spills over into their team members as well and those qualities are vital when taking care of people in their most vulnerable seasons of life.
They said one of their key ingredients to keeping their joy and staying positive comes from KLRC.

It was quite a battle today as we returned to the long awaited Season 4 “Battle of Generations!”
Boomer Scott and Gen Xer Christy were at the top of their game making it a neck and neck battle. It ended in a tie breaker with rock paper scissors and Christy’s skills couldn’t deliver.
Congrats to the Boomers for kicking off this season with the Big Win! Gen Zer…Intern Ross… tried his best but underestimated the veterans of the game and walked away with zero points. Christy felt sympathy for him though (for once in her life) because she knows everyone from his generation “always gets a prize” whether you win or lose so she made sure he at least got his favorite snack… “Reese sticks.”
Plus, we’re truly going to miss Ross as his internship has come to an end and he heads back home to Atlanta after this week. To celebrate we ordered his favorite food…pizza! He was definitely happy because he still felt like he won gold! 🥇
Despite his loss today he will always be a winner to us here at KLRC because he’s been a huge gift to this team and to our listening family this summer.

I had a chance to stop by and visit with Allison at Global Therapy in Bentonville (KLRC Office of the Week) and this was one of the coziest and inviting offices I’ve ever visited. I would say that’s an important quality to have too especially in this line of work. They provide mental health services helping people overcome depression, anxiety, trauma, and any other things they may need to work through. What important work that is and so needed! I’m a huge advocate for mental health services and have seen so many breakthroughs in people’s lives because they said yes to therapy. I’m one of them!
We love it too that this team also invites KLRC into their office and are so honored to be a part of their day. Allison works at the front desk and said,
“KLRC doesn’t only help me stay calm and positive but it helps our patients. They need a sense of God and positive vibes when coming in to seek mental health help. KLRC helps people feel loved, calm, and invited in.”

The City Museum was Unreal! Every floor had endless fun for us! They even had a 10 story slide and of course we couldn’t miss the rooftop dog show! Such a blast with my little man!
St.Louis Cardinals vs. the Cincinnati Reds! Mac & his buddy Mack BOTH got a game ball! What a night! He got to see his favorite player for the Reds and I got my nachos and coke and enjoyed every minute of watching the joy on these boys’ faces!! Much needed trip! So Fun!
Throwback to last Friday, when Christy set up the ultimate spin off of Bozo's Grand Prize Game to celebrate Mark's 49th birthday and his upcoming anniversary trip to Costa Rica! 🥳🥳🍩🍩🍩

Today… 12:05pm - Mac- “Hey mom can you find out what time the hogs baseball game is on today? I want to try and watch it.” Me: I start looking it up and decided just to see if there was a good deal on tickets. Game starts in 45 minutes by now. Find a killer deal behind dugout. Me: “What if we just go watch it in person?” Mac: “What do you mean?! FOR REAL?!”😳 Me: “yeah!” Mac: “YESSSSS LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!” 5 minutes later…in the car…😂 GORGEOUS weather and AWESOME memories with my Mac-Man! I cherish these moments!
