Four blocks of Perrysburg’s Historic Downtown district were closed to car traffic the weekend of August 17 for the Perrysburg Hearts the Arts fair. Dozens of art vendors were invited, selling everything from pottery and blown-glass figurines to jewelry and mixed media designs.
Prices ranged from five dollars to over five hundred, and artists from all over the country arrived to sell their wares on Friday. While many were local, some artists were headquartered as far away as Florida and Massachusetts.

A local U.S. Air National Guard veteran received a free roof last week, courtesy of local, veteran-owned Freedom Roofing, Windows and Siding.

“I was totally shocked. Blown away. All at the same time, I’m feeling all of these emotions, because I knew I needed a new roof, but I didn’t know how I was going to get one at the time."

To learn more about the project, click the link below or check out the second section of this week's Perrysburg Messenger Journal!

Bob Kish had known that he needed a new roof for several years. With a large family of 7 children, and multiple children experiencing medical issues, fixing his roof had never been the priority.
