I had a chance to be in the Jury once again for Zion International Film Festival .

The event is coming up at the SCERA theaters Feb 26th- March 2nd.

Like every year, my job as a Jury member was very difficult because of the mass amount of filmmaking talent that get submitted to the festival. I have known Michelle and Marshall for more than 10 years. They champion filmmakers, create creative and safe places for the filmmaking community and work hard to help make dreams happen.

Please take some time and go see some movies, sit in on some amazing panels and let me know what films were your favorite.

A 501c3 non-profit founded by Roman Coppola, Leo Matchett, Michael Musante, and American Zoetrope, Decentralized Pictures (DCP) is dedicated to elevating the voices of independent filmmakers through a fair blockchain protocol. DCP has launched partnerships with filmmaker/producer Kevin Smith and not-for-profit The Gotham to create financing awards for undiscovered talent. At the conclusion of FILM3 on the Mountain, Steven Soderbergh will be on hand to announce the winner of the first Andrews/Bernard Award, which his production company Extension 765 launched on the DCP platform in 2022 to discover and support emerging talent in the film industry. The award will support three filmmakers with finishing funds for fiction features or shorts worth $100,000 each. The winning projects are determined via transparent voting powered by blockchain technology on DCP’s film funding platform. The next two recipients will be voted on and announced later this year. Valerie Cameron chats with Filmmaker and Composter Stephen Edwards about his captivating documentary "Syndrome K". The last film to be narrated by acclaimed screen icon Ray Liotta (“Goodfellas,” “Field of Dreams”) in one epc three hour recording session, “Syndrome K” shines a light on the truly amazing story of three Roman Catholic doctors, who created a highly contagious fake disease during the Nazi Occupation of Rome to save Roman Jews in a Vatican-affiliated hospital f rom deportation to Auschwitz during WWII. Powerful and impactful documentaries are those that speak about ordinary people doing extraordinary things, “Syndrome K” is one of those documentaries. “Syndrome K” is the true story about a highly contagious, highly fictitious disease created by three Roman Catholic doctors – Adriano Ossicini, Giovanni Borromeo, & Vittorio Sacradoti, during the Holocaust to hide Jews from Occupying Nazis in a Vatican-affiliated hospital during World War II. When over 1,000 Jews from the Jewish Ghetto in Rome were deported to Auschwitz on 16 October 1943, many other Jews sought refuge in the Fatebenefratelli Hospital, directly across the Tiber River from the Ghetto and Syndrome K became a way to save them. When Nazis invaded Rome in 1943, they immediately targeted the Roman Jews. Against Vatican orders, three doctors at Fatebenefratelli, the Vatican-affiliated Catholic hospital hid many Jews who had sought refuge, disguising them as sick patients infected with a wildly touted, highly contagious fake disease they dubbed Syndrome K to fool the Nazis, who were quite fearful of falling victim to disease. The doctors “quarantined” the “infected” Jews to protect them. As Nazi suspicions mounted, they were forced to elaborate and maintain this ruse to keep their countrymen alive until the Allied forces under Gen. Mark Clark began the harrowing fight to liberate Rome from the South. Syndrome K might be the only horrible disease in history that act
