You know, the song you have to wait through 3 or 4 minutes of silence at the end of the album to get to hear? This is a cover of âPassionfruitâ by Drake, and we scrapped this song from our set list very early on in preparation for our live show, and never fully fleshed it out, but here is an incredibly rare snippet of an early attempt at the song. Very obscure indeed!

For our next exciting vault release, we take a trip outside of the studio, and a few days back in time from our last rehearsal track, to the Central Park Amphitheater in Ashland, Kentucky, for our B-side to the 2017 Poage Landing Days Rehearsals EP. Recorded on September 8th, 2017; this track is a cover of âI See Fireâ by Ed Sheeran. In the continuing adventures of Jessica McDaniel and Brian Eckard, we hear them plucking out this beautiful arrangement amidst a powerful symphony of cicadas! Throughout the track, as the cicada symphony ebbs and flows and crescendos, itâs almost as though these musicians have worked their wizardry to harness and guide these fascinating fellow musicians of the forest!! Hearing this beautiful song wrapped in the late summer sounds of forest creatures and children playing in the distance, youâd almost believe this was a recording from the Shire itself!

Our first vault release is this A-side of the 2017 Poage Landing Days Rehearsals EP: a cover of James Bayâs âWhen We Were On Fireâ. Featuring the incredibly talented Jessica McDaniel, who despite having such tiny hands, really delivers the Royal Rumble with her thunderous guitar slaps to accompany her equally thunderous vocals. Jessica joins forces on this track with axe slinger Brian Eckard, whose nimble fingers dance determinedly upon his guitar strings with the rhythm of a galloping steed to deliver this scorcher to its final destination!
Recorded on September 15th, 2017 at Eckard Records Studio during rehearsals for an upcoming live show at the 2017 Poage Landing Days festival in Ashland, KY. Step into the studio and have a listen behind the scenes as magic happens!
