FRAUD ALERT: "Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields would like to remind citizens that the Sheriff's Office will NEVER contact any person and demand money in lieu of an arrest," said Fields in a news release. "We have received numerous calls over the last few days regarding this scam. Scammers are asking for cash cards of various kinds which is never used as any form of payment in local, state, or federal government."

No injuries were reported after a car flipped in Carthage on Friday afternoon.
