State fire assistance has mobilized in support of local firefighters working to contain three eastern Washington fires. All three of the fires were first reported Saturday afternoon.

The Beam Road Fire is located near Zillah and Sunnyside. The Camas Road Fire is located near Wapato. Washington State Patrol Chief John Batiste authorized the mobilization of state firefighting resources for the pair of fires at around 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

The Beam Road fire started at approximately 12:22 p.m. on Saturday and was estimated at 8,000 acres in size by Saturday evening. The Camas Road Fire was estimated at 150 acres. Both fires are burning in grass and brush and threatening homes, crops, main power lines, and livestock. Level 1 and 2 evacuations were in place late Saturday. The fire cause for both fires is currently under investigation.

The Neff Road Fire started at approximately 2:22 p.m. on Saturday. This fire was estimated at 250 acres on Saturday evening. It is burning in grass, brush, and crops and is reportedly threatening homes, crops, and infrastructure. Level 1 evacuations were put in place. The fire cause is currently under investigation.
