We struck gold! Big congrats to our team (especially the uber-talented Nancy Fields) for winning a Gold Addy Award along with a Judges Choice Award at this year’s AAF Addy Awards! Our entry appeared on the cover of JOY Magazine as well as the Joy to Life end of year donation card, Walk of Life sponsor gifts and even coasters! 🙌🎉 Way to go, team!

We were honored over the weekend to capture "Corresponding Angles: The Story of a Survivor's Son and a Liberator's Daughter" at Alabama Shakespeare Festival (the staging is for another upcoming production). Thanks to the JFCA - Jewish Federation of Central Alabama for calling on us to document this powerful presentation.

We recently did a food photo shoot in the home of a magazine recipe developer we work with. One of her kiddos had created this masterpiece and we thought was a good reminder for all of us! Sometimes, we do wish that we could combine the "creative" part with the "quick start guide"! Sure would make things easier...😜

One of the things we love about photography is how it lets you capture a moment in time so you can re-live it later. Case in point--our friends and long time clients the Joy to Life Foundation held their Walk of Life recently and we were able to capture it all from start to finish. This is one of our favorite shots--co-founders Joy and Dickie Blondheim covered in starting line confetti. It's not a static, posed shot but rather a spontaneous reflection of the kind of amazing people they are. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, please consider making a donation at joytolife.org to help them continue to educate and provide breast health services to those throughout our state who need them but cannot afford them. All donations stay in Alabama to serve the people of Alabama.

We were shooting new homes for a local builder and these two little girls, the homeowner’s grand children, were too cute to leave out of the shot! They told us that the pumpkin was “friendly” and that, if you listen, it would talk to you! 🎃
