If you’re into food history and travel, you’re going to love our new PBS docu-series, America the Bountiful, launching nationwide this spring! In the first 13-half hour episodes of Season 1, we take viewers across the waves of grain and the fruited plains to explore the rural food traditions that shaped our nation — and how many of them are being preserved and rediscovered. We hope you’ll ride along with our wonderful host as she travels America’s back roads to uncover fascinating stories of the foods we love to grow, harvest, cook and celebrate.
A gigantic thank you to the wonderful farmers, growers, hunters, anglers, foragers and makers that shared their stories with us and to the incredible road crew that helped bring this nearly five-year journey to fruition!
Minnesota neighbors can tune in to TPT2 at 11a tomorrow (4/6) and Wisconsin friends stay tuned for broadcast dates this May. Episodes are also becoming available to stream on PBS Passport, beginning with our MN episode about wild rice streaming now!
