The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has four main pillars of work.
- Living the gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Inviting others to learn about Christ’s gospel.
- Uniting families for eternity through ordinances.
- And Caring for people in trouble.
There isn’t a Preach My Gospel or a Handbook of Instructions for this part of Christ’s work. I like to think we write the curriculum ourselves by the whisperings of the Holy Ghost.

It is done in the name of Jesus Christ for a world who believes in Him or doesn’t. It enfolds people who look different, worship differently, vote differently and believe differently. But it is 21st century evidence of Alma’s truth that sincere disciples of Jesus Christ are “liberal to all, both old and young, both bond and free, both male and female, whether out of the church or in the church, having no respect to persons as to those who stood in need.” (Alma 1:30)
