How does each piece of armor protect us spiritually?
What can we do to βput on the whole armour of Godβ (Ephesians 6:11) every day?
1 Corinthians 6:13β20
πΌπ’ ππππ’ ππ ππππππ.
Most people in Corinth felt that sexual immorality was acceptable and that their bodies were made primarily for pleasure. In other words, Corinth was not that different from the world today. What did Paul teach in 1 Corinthians 6:13β20 that could help you explain to others why you want to live a chaste life?
Like Paul, Sister Wendy W. Nelson encouraged Saints to be chaste; see her message βLove and Marriageβ (worldwide devotional for young adults, Jan. 8, 2017, broadcasts.ChurchofJesusChrist.org).
According to Sister Nelson, what blessings come from living the Lordβs standards concerning love and intimacy?

Elder Wilford W. Andersenβs message βThe Music of the Gospelβ can help illustrate what Paul teaches about the law, works, and faith.
After discussing his talk, your family could try to dance with and without music.
How can faith help us experience the joy of the gospel?

Acts 17:16β34
βWe are the offspring of God.β
In Athens, Paul found people with diverse opinions and religious views.
They were always seeking βto hear some new thing,β and what Paul had to offer was definitely new to them (see Acts 17:19β21).
They worshipped many gods, including one they called βthe unknown Godβ (Acts 17:23), but they believed that gods were powers or forces, not living, personal beings, and certainly not our Father.
Ponder what Paul said to help them come to know God. What does it mean to you to be the βoffspring of Godβ? (Acts 17:29).
In your opinion, how is being a child of God different from being just one of His creations? How does understanding this truth influence how you see yourself and others?
If you had stood beside Paul as he was testifying, what would you have told the ancient Greeks about our Heavenly Father? Do you know someone who could benefit from hearing your testimony?

Acts 10; 11:1β18; 15

When Peter saw the vision described in Acts 10, he struggled at first to understand it and βdoubted in himself what [it] should meanβ (verse 17).
Yet the Lord gave Peter greater understanding as Peter sought it. As you read Acts 10, 11, and 15, notice how Peterβs understanding of his vision deepened over time.
How have you sought and received greater understanding from God when you had questions?
Acts 10, 11, and 15 recount instances in which the Lord directed His servants through revelation.
It might help to record what you learn about revelation as you read these chapters.
In what ways does the Spirit speak to you?

Acts 10
βπΆππ ππ ππ πππππππππ ππ πππππππ.β
For generations, the Jews had believed that being of βthe seed of Abraham,β or a literal descendant of Abraham, meant that a person was accepted and chosen by God (see Luke 3:8).
They considered anyone else an βuncleanβ Gentile who was not accepted by God. In Acts 10, what did the Lord teach Peter about who βis accepted with himβ? (Acts 10:35).
What evidence do you find in this chapter that Corneliusβs life was acceptable to the Lord? Ponder what is meant by the statement βGod is no respecter of personsβ (verse 34; see also 1 Nephi 17:35). Why is it important to you to know this truth?
Like the Jews who looked down on those who were not of the seed of Abraham, do you ever catch yourself making unkind or uninformed assumptions about someone who is different from you?
How can you overcome this tendency?
It might be interesting to try a simple activity for the next few days: Whenever you interact with someone, try to think to yourself, βThis person is a child of God.β As you do this, what changes do you notice in the way you think about and interact with others?

Matthew 16:13β17
A testimony of Jesus Christ comes by revelation.
If Jesus Christ asked people today, βWhom do men say that I the Son of Man am?β what might they say? How would you respond if Jesus asked you, βWhom say ye that I am?β (See Matthew 16:13β15.)
Ponder your testimony of the Savior and how you received it. What do you learn from Matthew 16:15β17 that could strengthen it? If you would like to learn more about testimony and personal revelation, explore these scriptures: John 15:26; 2 Nephi 31:17β18; Alma 5:45β48; and Doctrine and Covenants 8:2β3.

Matthew 28:1β10; Luke 24:13β35; John 20:19β29; 1 Corinthians 15:1β8, 55
Many witnesses testify of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Imagine what it would have been like for the disciples to watch Jesus being mocked, mistreated, and crucified.
Witnessing His death must have caused them to feel grief and confusion.
But soon they became witnesses of the great miracle of His Resurrection.
What can you learn from the accounts of those who witnessed the Resurrected Savior?
Mark or note each personβs experience in Matthew 28:1β10; Luke 24:13β35; John 20:19β29; and 1 Corinthians 15:1β8, 55. (Other witnesses of the resurrected Christ can be found in 3 Nephi 11; Mormon 1:15; Ether 12:38β39; Doctrine and Covenants 76:19β24; 110:1β10; and Joseph SmithβHistory 1:15β17.) What impresses you about the testimonies of these witnesses?
After the Saviorβs Resurrection, others were resurrected and appeared to many (see Matthew 27:52β53; 3 Nephi 23:9).
How does your faith in the Savior and the promise of resurrection influence the way you live?

Jonah was on a ship headed for Tarshish.
Thereβs nothing wrong with sailing to Tarshish, except that it is far away from Nineveh, where Jonah was supposed to go to deliver Godβs message.
So when the ship encountered a great storm, Jonah knew it was because of his disobedience.
At Jonahβs insistence, his fellow mariners cast him into the depths of the sea to stop the storm. It looked like the end of Jonah and his ministry.
But the Lord hadnβt given up on Jonahβjust as He hadnβt given up on the people of Nineveh and just as He doesnβt give up on any of us.
As Micah taught, the Lord does not delight in condemning us, but βhe delighteth in mercy.β When we turn to Him, βhe will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and [He will] cast all [our] sins into the depths of the seaβ (Micah 7:18β19).

Ezekiel 47:1β12.
These verses describe Ezekielβs vision of water flowing from the temple and healing the Dead Seaβa sea so salty that fish and plants cannot live in it. Children might enjoy drawing a picture of this vision.
What could the water flowing from the temple symbolize?

Ezekiel 37
πππ π»πππ ππ πππππππππ π·ππ ππππππ πππ ππππππ ππππ πππ ππππ
The gathering of Israel is portrayed in Ezekiel 37 through two symbols.
As you read about the first oneβdead bones being restored to life (see verses 1β14)βponder what you learn about gathering Israel on both sides of the veil (see also Ezekiel 36:24β30).
The second symbol (see verses 15β28) involves two sticks, which many scholars interpret as wooden writing boards joined by a hinge.
The stick of Judah can represent the Bible (since much of the Bible was written by Judahβs descendants), and the stick of Joseph can represent the Book of Mormon (since Lehiβs family were descendants of Joseph of Egypt). With that in mind, what do these verses teach you about the role of the scriptures in the gathering of Israel? What does 2 Nephi 3:11β13 (a prophecy about Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon) add to your understanding?

Psalms 85:11
This verse could inspire a discussion about events of the Restoration of the gospelβhow the Book of Mormon is truth that β[sprang] out of the earthβ and how heavenly messengers came βdown from heavenβ (see also Moses 7:62). The video βPreparation of Joseph Smith: Tutored by Heavenβ (ChurchofJesusChrist.org) depicts some of these events.

Esther
πππ π»πππ πππ ππππ ππ πππππππππππ ππ πππππ ππππππ.
Many events in the book of Esther might seem like luck or coincidence.
How else do you explain how an orphaned Jewish girl became the queen of Persia at just the right time to save her people from being slaughtered?
What are the chances that Estherβs cousin Mordecai would just happen to overhear a plot to assassinate the king?
Were these coincidences, or were they part of a divine plan?
We may not always recognize the Lordβs influence in these βsmall details.β
But we learn from Estherβs experience that He can guide our path and prepare us βfor such a timeβ (Esther 4:14) when we can be instruments in His hands to fulfill His purposes.

As you watch the story of Esther, ponder how the statement above applies to her.
Look for ways the Lord made it possible for her to save the Jews (see, for example, Esther 2:21β23; 3:10β14; 4:14β16).
Then consider how He has guided your life in ways that allow you to bless others.
What are some circumstances or relationships that you feel He has guided you to βfor such a time as thisβ? (Esther 4:14).

Davidβs faithfulness to the Lord in the past did not make him immune to temptation when he βwalked upon the roof of the kingβs houseβ and βsaw a woman washing herselfβ (2 Samuel 11:2). Consider what lessons you can learn from his experiences.
What choices did David make that led him down an increasingly sinful path? What righteous choices could he have made instead?
How might the adversary be trying to lead you down sinful paths in your own life? What choices could you make now to return to safety?
