BEST IN SHOW: Monty the giant schnauzer came out as top dog, winning the prestigious Best in Show title at the 149th Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show in New York City on Tuesday (2/11). In addition to a trophy, ribbons, and bragging rights, the 5-year-old pup enjoyed a rare Wagyu rib eye steak at Bar Boulud on Wednesday (2/12).

Sunny and cold today
We will see a cold and sunny day today with wind chill values between 0 and -10, so stay warm out there. Another weather system will move in tomorrow and we could see some wintry mix as well as warmer temperatures. However, another arctic air mass will move in next week.

Snow to continue this morning and afternoon
Our weather system will move through faster than anticipated and we will see less acumulation than anticipated. Expect up to 4" to fall in some areas. Also, another round of wintry precipitation is possible on Friday and Saturday. Next week will be similar.

SKY FULL OF LANTERNS: Crowds released hundreds of lanterns into the night sky as people prayed for prosperity for the Lunar New Year in Taiwan on Saturday (2/8). Individuals wrote their hopes for the Year of the Snake, including good health and wealth, before releasing the lights. The event was part of the sky lantern festival, which marks the end of Lunar New Year celebrations.

Snow returning tonight
Our new weather system is forming to the WSW and we will feel its effects tonight and tomorrow. Make sure you have that snow shovel tomorrow because we could see up to 6-8" of snow fall from this. Also, there will be another chance for some wintry precipitation at the end of the week.
