Put together a short film of the snow fall in Middletown this morning.

I wanted to shoot more sections of town, but winds were gusting at 50mph at 400 feet...

Drones can be used to map an entire construction site. Each photo in this short progress video of Brick Mill School in Middletown, DE was made up of 268 images (each 20 megapixels!). The image retains sharpness, even when zoomed up to 5x, allowing construction companies to see the entire site, while still staying under the 400ft ceiling (FAA regulation).

We recently finished a promotional video for our client, Corrado Construction Company, of the new Delaware Logistics complex off of Route 13. The complex consists of 3 very large buildings, and we took progress photos and video from September 2019 through December, 2020. Really enjoyed working with Corrado on this one!

Running automated, GPS-assisted flights allows us to provide overlaid progress photos/video from the near-exact point in the sky to show changes over time (see 1:14 of the video).

Why drones?

My passion for drones started, oddly, with Toys R Us. As the stores were closing in 2018, we were going there on a weekly basis looking for toy deals. I happened upon a relatively inexpensive drone by a company called SkyViper. It had GPS, a 720p camera, and was very lightweight.

Was I hooked! I loved flying that little machine! But is was not very good in the slightest wind.

But it gave me my start...

Shortly thereafter, I was watching LOTS of review videos on YouTube for drones made by a company called DJI, trying to make my decision on my first “pro-sumer” aircraft. Today I fly a Mavic 2 Pro, released in late 2018, and I have a passion to see the world from up above.
