What an electrifying experience it's been, working with the incredible team at ! 🤩 I had the unique opportunity to photograph these masters in action, and let me tell you, it was nothing short of magical! ✨📸

Just finished a portrait session with a good friend of mine. There is just something I really relate to with black and white photography. The simplicity of seeing the world without color helps focus on the emotion, story, subject and purpose of the photograph in a unique way.

My wife has been teaching me more what it means to nurture our children. I used to think it really meant putting bandaids on cuts and giving them hugs. While this is so important, I was missing the essence of what it means to nurture. If you look up the definition it means to promote growth, education, to bring or train up. I admire my sweet wife for her selfless approach to nurturing our children. She gives so much so that they can reach their potential. As we hear the noise around us there is nothing more important than living by correct principles. The world can change for the better; from pop-culture to politics and everything in between. "We warn that the disintegration of the family will bring upon individuals, communities, and nations the calamities foretold by ancient and modern prophets." The Family Proclamation, 1995 - Strengthen your families. Nothing can give you greater satisfaction and purpose. Hard days are certainly ahead, but I can't wait to spend them with my family gathered by my side, even then there can be calm from the storm.

Using my Canon R5 on Cannon Beach was a bucket list thing for me. I have wanted to visit this beach for almost two decades. It was a three hour mad rush from Portland and we made it just as the sun was setting. I don’t think I have ever set up my gear so fast.

I love the photographer in the photo. I see myself in the photo. So in some ways this is a self portrait as much as it as landscape.

What is a bucket list item you have crossed off your list this year? If you haven’t crossed something off your list recently I encourage you to try in 2022!

They wanted something different so we lit the space with hard contrasty light. You can make anything look awesome with the right kind of light and angles!

Thank you for your interest in my work. I have been shooting for nearly 17 years. My first wedding was on film when I was a junior in High School. To the chagrin of some lady out there I was the nerd that stayed home from Prom so that I could buy more equipment! I am involved by day as an executive in the printing industry. It was printing that got me involved in photography as a creative medium. I love spending time serving in my church and hanging out with family. I also enjoy videography and filmmaking.
