Epic first season up on the land. As rewarding as it was challenging. Old man winter arrived early and chased us out with back-to-back storms, time to retire to the desert and buckle down for the winter season. Can’t wait to get back next summer to make the stead more of a home. In the meantime we’ll be enjoying unlimited hot water and electricity. 😎🤘

Epic shroom foraging this summer! Finally found our big fat fresh hedgehog, tasty relative of the famous golden chanterelle. Delish. Also scored some lions mane, first time in the Rockies. Milk caps, lung oyster, and the two biggest puffballs ever. Big month of mushroom pizza, pasta, omelets, and everything in between. Lots of rainbows too. 🍄🌈
