Big Apple Film Festival, in partnership with Mindie, presents a
two day informational virtual summit with top agents and managers to
filmmakers and screenwriters currently seeking representation. The purpose
of the event is to provide insight and
strategies for acquiring representation.

Mindie- Miami Independent Film Festival
Valentina and Laura started their collaboration in 2013, during the production of the film L’Amore Corto in New York City. The film won 14 awards and received official selections in 50 + Film Festival around the world since its completion. While Valentina was travelling and gaining experience as a festival goer, invited pretty much everywhere, Laura was absorbing the knowledge from the inside, collaborating with different festivals like the Nantucket Film Festival as member of the screening committee, the Open Roads Film Festival and the Miami International Film Festival. In 2015 they began their adventure with the aim to create a Film Festival that was different from the others. Giving the filmmakers a monthly feedback on their films, creating monthly selections that filter the films into “monthly winners” which participate to the second level of the selection process: the Jury then decides which films move forward and get screened at the annual event. The film festival collaborates with a team of international industry, who screen and evaluate films every month.

We've been hosting international industry members that have come to the festival and collaborated with us offering workshops and Q/As to the audience. As filmmakers ourselves we know how hard it is to get your project out. Mindie aims to give international exposure to films and filmmakers from all over the World. Furthermore, every year we organize an art exposition during the festival related to cinema, from local and/or international artists. We want to be a connection for artists from all over the World and promote collaborations. We also offer workshops open to the public for whoever is interested in learning more about the movie industry.

Valentina Vincenzini received a Master’s Degree, Cum Laude, in Film, Television and Multimedia Production; and a Ph.D. in Film and Media Studies from Roma Tre University, in Rome, Italy. She moved to New York in 2013 where she shot L’Amore Corto, her first short movie under the auspices of Casa Italiana Zerilli-Marimò at New York University, which combines her experience as an Italian abroad with her ideas on cinema, web and cross media story telling. Back in Italy, from 2014 she’s been working as Creative Producer and Assistant Director in the Film Industry.

Laura Gasperini was born and raised in Italy. She now lives in Miami where she works for a boutique Production Company as video and film producer. Laura has extensive collaborations with directors and producers from different parts of the World. Her portfolio includes works with Emmy Award winners, TV commercials, TV and film productions and thousands of web videos with millions of views. Laura is the planner of the Annual Event in Miami Beach, supported by the whole local team. She also programs the Special Screenings and Q/As during the Annual Festival.
