🚨 THIS FRIDAY 🚨 On Friday, May 17th, celebrate Mendocino High School’s hands-on learning experiences by attending their sixth annual Career Technical Education Spring Showcase. The showcase will feature hand-made products and demonstrations from the school’s Culinary, Woodshop, Art, Horticulture, Electronics, and Media programs.

Expect to see all sorts of student-led activities and demonstrations, including:
-Garden tours
-Art shows
-Music performances
-Film screenings
-Robotics demonstrations
-Student work showcase

With a donation, you could even walk away with things like:
-Plant starts and seeds
-All types of art, including ceramics, paintings, and photography
-Cutting boards, lidded boxes, nutmeg mirrors, spice cabinets
-Tech pens and electronic goodies
-KAKX Swag
-Chicken tacos

Celebrate with Mendocino High School’s Career Technical Education Department. Friday, May 17th, from 4 PM to 8:30 PM, at the Matheson Performing Arts Center on the corner of Cahto and Ford Street.

Food and beverages will be available on-site.

Monies earned from this event will be funneled directly into each program to continue buying supplies to further student enrichment.

That’s a wrap! Another 24-hour program under our belt. We had laughs, music, talk, live performances, lots of pizza, and very little sleep. We’re thankful to all of those who could tune in (close to 600 plays, and 300 individual listeners) and support our stunt of a radio broadcast. We look forward to doing it again in 2025.

We’ve been meaning to get this out, but we’ve been so busy planning!

Another 24-hour stunt of a live broadcast is coming soon to an ear hole near you. We’ll be live from 8AM January 13th, to 8AM January 14th. Non-stop radio, multiple hosts, more genres than you can count on your fingers and toes, all from Mendocino High School’s own Student Powered Radio. What more could you need on a three day weekend?

We just dropped a significant amount of media ranging from Music, Podcasts, and Short Films produced during the 2022-2023 school year! We are excited for you to consume it all.

We would have uploaded it earlier, but our teacher had to move the entire Media Lab into a temporary portable - and take a much needed break.

Also worthy of note, it was Genevieve's and Arete's last radio show today before they head off to college. We've been fortunate to have their energy and passion the last few years, and we're excited to see what they do next!

We will also have a live radio show from 12:15- 12:45, which is lunchtime at Mendocino High School.
