The Howe Enterprise Howeenterprise.com is a local online newspaper for Howe, Texas. The oldest continuous business in Howe. (Pop) Sloan. in August of 1974.

The original Howe Enterprise newspaper was founded in June of 1963 by A.P. He sold the business to the Grayson Publishing Company in 1966. It was purchased by Howe Enterprise Publishing Co. Dale and Lana Rideout purchased the Howe Enterprise Publishing Co. in 1978, who eventually changed the name to The Texoma Enterprise in 1997. Grayson Publishing, LLC purchased the business in 2014 and the name returned to its original "Howe Enterprise". It can be found at howeenterprise.com.

Howe Bulldogs send-off

The week-long Howe 150th birthday celebration: Today is the Sesquicentennial/Homecoming Parade beginning at 7 pm, followed by a watermelon feast, sausage-on-a-stick, and shaved ice at Bulldog Stadium. The parade route will begin at Howe Middle School and run (without turns) along Highway 5 from Duke Street to Bulldog Stadium. The parade is sponsored by Lacey Tucker Fairway Mortgage, the watermelon feast by Cory Hernandez State Farm, Fischer's sausage-on-a-stick by Howe Athletic Booster Club, and Chill Out Shaved Ice.

Our Story

The oldest continuous business in Howe. The original Howe Enterprise newspaper was founded in June of 1963 by A.P. (Pop) Sloan. He sold the business to my grandfather, Bob Walker, in July of 1966. Walker sold it to Jim Echols in August of 1974. Mr. Echols sold the business to Dale and Lana Rideout in 1978, who changed the name to The Texoma Enterprise in the mid 1990's. The Rideouts sold it to Monte Walker in 2014 and the name returned to its original "Howe Enterprise". It can be found at howeenterprise.com and is owned and operated by Grayson Publishing, LLC.
