We have some breaking news we want to send to everybody, unfortunately we cannot go live, but we wanted to let you know that two people have gunshot wounds off of Lynx Way in Chandler. This happened approximately an hour or so ago we are working to get details on exactly what may have transpired we know as of an hour ago there was a lot of police activity in the area. We are understanding that the suspect is in custody. 19 year old Jeremiah Blair has been arrested and charged with attempted murder on both his Mother and Father who are at the Hospital.

We are on the scene of a fatal car accident on Williams Field rd. and Recker. The deadly happened at around 2 am and the road is currently closed in all directions.

Road closure, please avoid 27th Ave and Northern approximately a half of mile in all directions. A pickup truck crashed into a gas line and according to fire large amount of gas reading have been reported. A school and others in the area are being evacuated.

We wanted to update you as to 2 arrests now have been made in the violent assault that took place. The person on the left is from In-N-Out Burger in Gilbert, 18-year-old Christopher Fantastic, While the one on the right in the Orange jump suit is from Nov. 18 near Wagon Wheel Road and Sun Dance Drive. He is 20-year-old Jacob Pennington of Gilbert. This is great news and we are sure more will be forth coming.

On the evening of Monday, October 16, the Gilbert Police Department dispatch center received a call of a subject running through the parking lot of local businesses with a gun.

A responding officer in the vicinity of the incident located two teens, one who had what appeared to be a white firearm in his possession.

The teens immediately advised our officer the gun in question was a water gun and they were playing a game known as “assassin”, a game being played by teens across the country that centers around eliminating other students from the game throughout the school year by spraying them with the water gun. This incident is one of several similar calls reported to the Gilbert Police Department in recent months.

The water gun in question was designed to look like a real firearm. The attached picture is an example image similar to what the gun from the call for service looked like. We would like our community to please help us in sharing the risks associated with kids playing with realistic toy water guns which can be perceived by our officers or the public as a threat.

Thank you for doing your part in helping us keep our community safe.

Gilbert, Arizona - On October 16, 2023, Gilbert PD responded to a community park located at Ivanhoe St. and Rochester Dr. located within the Lyons Gate Community. Upon arrival, officers found a 43-year-old female with a self-inflicted single gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased on-scene.

This was an isolated incident with no other injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
