Join us on Saturday, September 7th at 8:00 pm and Jacksonville State University astronomy professor Dr. Laura Weinkauf, the JSU Field School, in this exploration of the night sky. If you have ever looked up at the stars and wanted to learn more about the constellations, planets, and the moon this is your chance. We will provide two telescopes for the public to see the night sky. For kids they fill out a Junior Ranger booklet and earn a Night Explorer’s patch!
Join us on the back lawn of the Little River Canyon Center this event is free, family friendly night! Bring your own binoculars and telescopes if you wish and for more information call the Little River Canyon Center, 256-845-3548.
WEATHER: As with all outdoor events, if it's raining/stormy or very poor trail conditions, we may have to cancel. If the weather is questionable, please call the Canyon Center before leaving home. Free and open to everyone
