Good morning & welcome to a Random Fact Friday!

Did you know that.....

1) Billy Idol was originally supposed to play the evil T-1000 in "Terminator 2: Judgment Day", but he couldn't do it after being in a serious motorcycle accident in February of 1990, which almost cost him a leg. He was also supposed to have a larger role in the Oliver Stone move, "The Doors", but it was cut back due to the accident.

2) Axl Rose started working on "November Rain" in 1983. But he wasn't ready to release it until 1991.

3) The song "Don't Turn Around" was originally written for Tina Turner, and was the B-side of her song "Typical Male" in 1986. But it never went anywhere until Ace of Base covered it in 1994, and it became a top five hit.

Pamela Anderson has joined the cast of the "Naked Gun" remake...and Liam Neeson is taking over the role of Lieutenant Frank Drebin, who was played by Leslie Nielsen in the three original movies. Pam will be playing the love interest, who was played by Priscilla Presley back in the day. Priscilla's character was named Jane Spencer. It's not clear if that'll be the name of Pam's character, too.
The new "Naked Gun" is scheduled to hit theaters in July of 2025.

With Good Friday and the rest of the Easter weekend, this one may have slipped through the cracks. Louis Gossett Jr. died Friday, at the age of 87. He was the first black man to win the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, for "An Officer and a Gentleman". That made him only the second black man to win an acting Oscar. "I don't know but, I've been told"... "May-o-nnaise"...

McDonald's has announced a new sweepstakes, where they're offering free burgers for a year. Specifically, that's two $8 burgers per week, which makes it a value of $832 over a whole year. They're doing it to promote their new, "hotter, juicier, and tastier burgers."

If you're interested, just hit up SpotHamburglar.com and fill out an entry form. They're selecting four winners at the end of February. There's also a side-promotion going on, which you can score if you spot the Hamburglar's getaway car. It should be noticeable: It's a custom 1970 Plymouth Barracuda.

Why watch old reruns of "The Love Boat" when you can join Princess Cruises and set sail with cast members from the original show. It'll happen this August, as you'll spend seven days at sea with Doc, Bernie Kopell; Gopher, Fred Grandy; Bartender Isaac, Ted Lange; and Vicki Stubing, Jill Whelan.

The cruise will be on the Enchanted Princess, which as you can see, is a bit roomier than the original Love Boat, the Pacific Princess, both owned & operated by Princess Cruises. The Pacific Princess was scrapped in 2015!

Carl Weathers of Rocky, Predator, & Happy Gilmore fame passed peacefully in his sleep at the age of 76 last night. And that's not all...Bruce Springsteen announced yesterday that his sweet, sweet mom Adele, passed on Wednesday at the age of 98.
