Birthed in Pikeville, Ky; raised in McRoberts. The author started witing poetry when she was in elementary school. Author Bessie did not know that it was poetry that flowed out of her loins, until a dear teacher of hers Jan Tackett called the author into her class one day and told Bessie what it was that she was putting to paper and what was flowing out of her very being. At that time Author Bessi

e was with child whom; I named after a poet Keziah and one of Job's children when God restored his life. Through the years of the authors' life she never stopped writing poetry. Even though there were many books lost along the way. In 1998 she began to write Words of Truth; with the determination and faith of a succesfully published book. Author Bessie met hes sister/partner in poetry and gave her no choice in the matter of being her sister in performance and in life. Keisha James introduced Author Bessie to the mic at a cafe. Author Bessie looked and searched for many publisher's and finally found the courage to Publish. After a sixteen year search for an affordable price, time, and dedication that kept the author carried these poems around until the time had arrived. Words of Truth is a Godly, Spiritually based book that will free you when you read/listen to the very context given.
