❤️ This Kindness Day, we're highlighting Melissa Nelson, the local mom who started the Community Kindness Movement (CKM) ten years ago. Inspired by her daughter's experience with bullying, Melissa transformed a personal act of kindness into a statewide movement.

CKM promotes kindness in schools and communities, fostering positive change through educational resources, assemblies, and signature yellow kindness shirts.

At the Idaho Botanical Garden, they believe in creating a space where everyone feels welcome and connected to nature. Led by Executive Director Erin Anderson, their mission is to inspire future generations of environmental advocates and conservationists while fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation for our natural world.

From educational programs to community events, they're dedicated to providing a place where people can connect, learn, and grow. And, we're excited to share that the Idaho Botanical Garden is expanding their offerings with a new year-round farmers market, food hub, and vegetable garden.

This project will provide fresh, local produce to low-income families in our community and create new opportunities for local farmers. Together, we can make a positive impact on our community and the environment.

🏂 Winter is coming, and with it, the chance to carve fresh tracks across Idaho's legendary slopes. But that epic gear can add up fast. Luckily, the annual Expo Idaho Ski Swap is back for its 73rd year, offering a treasure trove of deals to get you geared up for the season without breaking the bank.

This community event is more than just killer deals on skis, snowboards, and winter apparel (though there will be plenty of that!). It's also a fundraiser for the Bogus Basin Ski Education Foundation (BBSEF), a non-profit that provides essential programs for aspiring young skiers and snowboarders.

"The Ski Swap is a great way to support the next generation of shredders," says Shannon Carrell, a long-time volunteer. "Plus, it's just a fun way to get stoked for winter!"
