Good morning and welcome to our first (anticipated) snowy weekend of 2024.
“Ember,” the name used by the Weather Channel (TWC), continues to head in our direction. And with temperatures expected to remain below freezing - both today and tonight, Ice is going to be a problem. The forecast calls for snow with at least 1/10 of an inch of ice. This could put a burden on the power-lines and trees, causing power outages.
At 6 A.M., Radar shows the storm entering West Virginia, moving north/northeast. Hampshire County will see ice and snow beginning around 8AM. So if you have to travel, prepare for extra time. As the treated roads may become slick.
Stay safe and stay with our page as we continue to monitor the storm and any problems it may bring. Remember to send us your pics!
Have a great day.
