On June 24th, I was in bed scrolling the news on my phone when I read the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. I spent the rest of the day in a daze, quietly raging. I've spent most of the summer raging too.

I needed to have an abortion in October 2019. Five months later, the world shut down. I don't think I had processed what I'd been through mentally and physically until the right to choose was taken away from so many vulnerable people. It pains me to think of other women in my position but without my access.

I'm taking my anger and doing what I can to start a conversation about abortion with the brave women in my community. I hope you'll take a minute to watch this short video. If it moves you, please donate what you can to our fundraiser for the National Network of Abortion Funds at speakupdonateandvote.org. And if you live in the area, join us on September 22 for a storytelling event at Conant Hall in Pound Ridge.

Most importantly, if you have an abortion story, I hope you'll share it and I hope you'll vote in every single election this year to make sure reproductive healthcare is protected for all, especially those who are young, low-income, LGBTQ+ and/or of color.

Many thanks to the good men who supported this project, Seth William Reiber at VAST, Lee Willett at Studio 23, and Art Nelson at Art Nelson Photo & Video, and to our sponsors The Kitchen Table at Pound Ridge and Sweet Earth Co..
