Womack is currently 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐝 to Notre Dame by Tom Loy and Eric Thomas. The elite safety prospect out Flowood, Mississippi has been high on Notre Dame ever since he camped there third past summer. Despite many major programs making Womack’s list of schools, the most notable competitor (as of right now) is Ohio State, with him also coming out of their prospect camp summer very high on the school. 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒: Notre Dame’s Men’s Swimming program has been suspended for at least 1 academic year following investigatory finds of NCAA Violations regarding internal gambling, in addition to culture issues -

Pete Bevacqua released an official statement stating that the University worked with a law firm to investigate reports of potential misconduct in regards to the Men’s swimming team. The investigation found “numerous” NCAA violations in regards to “Gambling on intercollegiate swimming and other athletic competitions”

The statement also indicated that a large number of the men’s swimming team participated in the misconduct: “While individual conduct varied, the overwhelming cultural dynamic on the team necessitates a full suspension. We profoundly regret that the small number of team members who did not participate in the conduct, and those who were planning on joining the team this fall, will also suffer the consequences of this decision”

Notre Dame AD Pete Bevacqua stated that the coaching staff was not aware of the misconduct as “team members” concealed the conduct through “concerted efforts”. Once the coaching staff found out about the misconduct: it was stated that the staff went about the situation in a serious and professional matter, and fully cooperated with the investigation.

The statement also indicated that there were “other troubling behaviors” surrounding the program.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: Notre Dame Football has announced its ‘Hard Knocks’ style documentary for August 29th -

Last November, Notre Dame announced it would extend its partnership with NBC Sports through 2029. As part of that partnership, a annual ‘Hard Knocks’ style documentary following the Notre Dame football program would air exclusively on Peacock: NBC’s streaming service.

In 2015: Notre Dame partnered with Showtime to follow Notre Dame Football’s 2015 season in a 14-episode show called: “A Season with Notre Dame Football”

While the 2015 and upcoming 2024 shows both cover the Notre Dame Football team: The 2015 show covered primarily Notre Dame’s regular season games, the upcoming documentary is believed to show the offseason leading up to the season at the minimum.

The upcoming show is called “Here Come The Irish” and will have a special presentation on August 29th, exclusively on Peacock.

𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐆: QB Commit Deuce Knight has been 𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐃 to 5 🌟 status in the 247 Sports Composite Rankings -

Knight (No. 29 Natl. 5 Pos.) was given a bump in his rating by the Rivals rankings update. Now rated at 0.9851, the Mississippi native would be the highest rated ND Quarterback since Gunner Kiel in 2012. Knight has been rumored to be on flip watch to Auburn the past few weeks after a visit, but if the Irish can retain him they will have signed one of the best QB’s in program history (according to the 247 Sports Composite.)

Notre Dame held today’s fall camp practice outdoors on their grass field with mild rain, which was likely done to help simulate the playing surface the Irish will play on against Texas A&M in College Station in a few weeks. Freeman practiced like this in 2023 ahead of the Navy game in Ireland as well, to help simulate that playing surface.

Jagusah will have surgery in the near future and suffered the injury in Saturday’s practice. DB/ST Marty Auer also tore his ACL (Left Knee). Both Jagusah and Auer will be out of the entire 2024 season.
