They spend a good 8-9 months hitting the exterior season hard and try to keep their crews busy in the winter with only interiors.

I have avoided the idea of starting a podcast for a number of reasons for years. I knew there were already hundreds of home improvement podcasts on the market, so I just decided against the idea. I have been encouraged by a good friend of mine to take the plunge - Tom Reber to start a podcast! He pushed me heavily earlier this year to just do it.

So here we go. After quite a few months of planning and research, Aaron Moore and I joined forces to start The Commercial Painting Podcast. As we looked into it a bit more, there was not a specific podcast devoted to the commercial painting industry, so we felt this would be a great podcast. This is not just geared for those who own a commercial painting business. We will be interviewing thought leaders and business owners in all sorts of industries as we move forward. I hope you find our discussions, conversations and interviews helpful for your personal or business lives.

We have released the first three episodes and will be releasing a couple very few weeks moving forward. There are so many people to thank for encouraging me to move forward with this podcast.

I asked my son to help me get better lighting for when I record my podcasts moving forward. I also switched back to a stand up desk for meetings. He had fun setting up my office yesterday (desk and lights). He gave me some coaching on what to do when I record an episode moving forward. He’s been taking film classes at our local jr. college & is really quite good. So this is all him. If I sound decent on a recording, it’s because he told me what mic to use! I’m just doing what he tells me.

Our new podcast “The Commercial Painting Podcast” with Aaron Moore will be launching any day - starting on Apple & Spotify.

Was able to attend the Celebration of Life of my longtime friend and client - Jeremy Brooks. Several hundred friends and family were there. It just shows how much impact he had on others. I’ll miss you, brother. See you in heaven. - Chism

Finally got our peer group together that I facilitate for a photo yesterday. These commercial painters are from across the U.S. and as far away as Australia. We really came together as a tighter group this week. Meeting in person is so much better than Zoom. We are already planning our next in person meeting!!!

A client of mine recently repainted his kitchen cabinets. Check out these stunning before and after shots. He owns a painting company in South Jersey and doesn’t get to paint himself much anymore. He just runs the company. Yet he still has the magic touch. He pulled out his sprayer and repainted his own kitchen cabinets. His wife said it was time to update! After all, Happy Wife = Happy Life! I’ve been pressuring him to get some solid images of his work. It is hard to do that with all the details of painting. He blew me away when he hired this photographer to take these shots. I’m impressed.
