The Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals today announced that Jackson Group Media had won multiple "Viddy Awards", including its coveted platinum award for overall television and digital campaign. The Viddy Awards recognized work we had done last year in Ontario advocating for teachers.

We had no idea our client had entered our work -- so we were pretty surprised today.

JGM is an announced finalist for Campaigns and Elections' Reed Awards for: Best TV Ad for a Democrat Congressional Candidate, Best TV Ad for Bootstrapped Campaign, and Best Bare-Knuckled Street Fight TV ad.

Previously, JGM has won dozens of Reed, Pollie and Goldies Awards for local to international campaigns, from Best Negative/Contrast Ad to Best Use of Humor, Best Statewide Candidate Ad, Best Local/Municipal Ad, Best Radio Ad, Best Digital, Best Online Video, Best International Campaign, and more. Last year, the European Association of Political Consultants awarded JGM its Polaris Award for an international television campaign we did in Canada.

We have a suitcase filled with awards. Anybody need some attractive bookends?

Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale Nationally Recognized for Having “Best Ad for Democratic Statewide Candidate” in 2016

LAS VEGAS - Campaigns and Elections Magazine this past weekend singled-out Pennsylvania Auditor General Eugene DePasquale for having the best television ad in the country for any statewide Democratic candidate in 2016.

The “Reed Award for Best Ad for Democratic Statewide Candidate” was announced during Campaigns and Elections Magazine’s annual awards conference held at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. DePasquale’s award-winning campaign commercial beat out ads for other Democratic statewide candidates with larger budgets and who were running for higher-profile offices such as U.S. Senate and Governor.

The spot entitled “Calls” was scripted by Democratic media consultant Bud Jackson and produced by his firm Jackson Group Media.

The ad features DePasquale’s good work as the state’s auditor general; specifically, identifying over 40,000 calls that were going unanswered to the state’s child protection hotline and demanding immediate reforms to make sure those calls never again go unanswered.
