In what may be the biggest news for the area since Lewis and Clark decided to vacation out here, the Variety magazine has confirmed the production of a Goonies sequel. Goonies 2 will be produced by Steven Spielberg’s production company and is currently in the writing process as they cobble together a story. No cast has been announced, but recent Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan known in the Goonies universe as Data has said he would love reprise the role.
