CPD Advisory Board member, Candace Winslow, and Board members Sally Dutter and Francie Mancillas were celebrated at a recent League of Dallas Sustainer event. Outgoing Sustainer President Candace was recognized and welcomed incoming president Sally! Francie won the 2024 Sewell Salutes Award which is given annually to a Sustainer who has gone above and to support League programs and activities, often working tirelessly behind the scenes. We are so grateful that these phenomenal women also go above and beyond in their service to CPD and the children we serve! Cheers ladies and thanks for all you do to make Dallas stronger! Decide you desire more.

When I first started my company a year ago, I was excited and scared at the same time. I knew I wanted more for myself and my children and I knew I wanted to help others. I did not know exactly how I was going to accomplish making a profit or even how to get clients. To be honest I still do not know everything about marketing. To close this gap, I performed a lot of research and had many trials and errors.

Here is the scoop; I come from humble beginnings like many of us in the world. I was raised by a single mother and had a great relationship with my father. I was a great student and loved to learn about others and their cultures. I studied religion as a hobby and received my master’s degree in Adult education. I knew I wanted to teach others what I had learned about life and love.

After a divorce, the death of my father, custody issues with my children and addiction to alcohol; I was lost again. I had to find myself. Though this journey I learned that I was not lost I just was not on track and that is when my desires for more flourished.

Every day is a new opportunity to be great! You can be positive, kind, loving and well-dressed but if you lack the ambition for MORE than you will be stuck doing the same thing every day just like me. Today I challenge you to dig deep and decide what you desire more of…. This can be more: faith, fellowship, money, time, organizations, love, self or peace. Once you decide than leave a message to inspire others and help them see they are not alone in being indecisive in their desires. I love you and be blessed!
