NetRead provided sponsorship and managed the authors during the first two years of this festival (known as "LitStock" at that time). It took place at the Band Shell in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park before moving to Yerba Buena Gardens in year 3. Tonight: A Tribute to Lawrence Ferlinghetti: 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 28. Free. Details in link.

It was the third year of the literary event, which had just changed its name from Litstock. Ferlinghetti wrote a poem that riffed on the name change.
