Dear Family, Friends, and Friends to be: Our late son Christopher had great insight. He was the first to "diagnosis" that he had Schizophrenia. TRUE. Still even in his 26 years when the evil flower of Schizophrenia blossomed into his life at 20 or so, he was creative. He and I use to banter about song lyrics and one of them was about a song story of THERE WAS A MOOSE ON THE LOOSE I MAINE...WHO WAS GIVING MAINERS GREAT PAIN... or something like that. We never did finish that idea of a song, but Chris did contribute to a song called BE A MAN. I made Chris the co-writer on this meaningful song. Hope you like it.

Dear Family, Friends and Friends to be:

Our late beloved son Chris Pickering would have been 50 years old on August 5th. Chris was honored and remembered by CHCS who served him so well when he was alive and honored him with this program to help others in extreme need. Please don't feel any obligation to give but please read and learn about their good work as well as the extreme need of those with certain serious brain disorders. They are too often discriminated and treated by Society with tragedy instead of treatment. And the result of this cruelty we all in Society pay a dreadful price.

We celebrate the anniversary of Christopher Paul Pickering’s birthday with a reminder that we can positively impact the life of someone else. We share the common experience of needing help at some point in our lives. We don’t always recognize the capacity we have to help someone else. Too often people are defined by their life circumstance or challenges. Christopher faced challenges because of a brain disorder but it didn’t prevent him from helping others. We dedicated our Pay It Forward fund in honor of the spirit of giving that Christopher displayed throughout his life.
The philosophical tenet of Pay It Forward is the recognition that we possess individual talents that can positively impact another person. We established the Christopher Paul Pickering Pay It Forward Fund to help people address an immediate and urgent need.
We view the gift of the funds as the first step in promoting the capacity of the individual to give back to someone else in the future. It is through the action of giving back that the spirit of Pay It Forward is realized.
Please consider a donation in support of our work. Your donation helps people during a time of need, and it seeds an opportunity to pay the act of kindness to someone else.

Der Family, Friends, and Friends to be. Hey did any of you watch the 2024 Presidential Debate? I bet there were lots of different opinions and thoughts. Share them if you wish. But, I want to make you very aware that an INDEPENDENT CANDIDATE IS LIKELY TO ANNOUNCE HE IS RUNNING and may well win!!! He is a widely known national Hero. In fact he did run in the 2020 Presidential Elections. But, he decided not to continue for unknown reasons. Nevertheless, he will soon be announcing his Presidential Run! Did you know that it is his BIRTHDAY TODAY??? Yup!! The ONLY Drawback is this very healthy strong man is OLDER THAN BOTH Joe and Donald COMBINED BUT HE LOOKS A HELL OF A LOT !!! I kid you not. This is a song I wrote about his run for the 2020 Presidential Elections as an INDEPENDENT!
