We loved discussing this part of Swedish culture with Linda, as well as learning from her about different ways we can better get out in nature and tap into all the benefits that come with it!

Her book, "The Open Air Life" just came out today, and we are so excited to get our hands on it! We're huge fans of her first book, "There's No Such Thing As Bad Weather" and know we're going to love this one just as much!

Yeah, going to Disneyland, or backpacking through Europe, or doing that exotic thing with your family is really awesome.

But it's the people that's the thing!

It's the being together that makes the memories.

Whether it's playing catch in the backyard, working on a puzzle together, or laughing at a funny show--you can make lasting memories and be present and be a good parent no matter what your bank account or life circumstances look like.

It doesn't take going to Disneyland to make memories and really BE together.

Because it's the people you're with that matter.

It's the people that's the thing.

This week on the podcast, we each share ways that we try to connect with our kids. But honestly, it can be SO HARD to make the time, to be intentional, and to have it really be something that isn't awkward and something our kids dread! 😂

So moms, how do you find ways to connect with your kids? Especially on a daily basis in the midst of all the chaos of running a home and family.

What ways have really worked for you to be present with them, and to strengthen your relationship with your kid on an individual basis?

Like we shared on the podcast, we want to try doing some one-on-one dates with our kids, setting our phones to "Do Not Disturb" for certain times of the day when we want to focus on being present, and recognizing that connection isn't just "talking". It can be singing music in the car together, or watching a show together, etc.

What advice do you have on this topic? We'd love to hear!
