Summer Storm is a Senior and member of Sigma Tau Delta at CSU-P, majoring in English. Originally from Florida, she loves to travel and take photos while incorporating the places she’s been into her work. Currently she is working on a creative nonfiction novel, We No Longer Hear The Music. She enjoys drawing inspiration from her life, allowing her best friend of 22 years to be the inspiration for “Monophobia” and a dream to be the inspiration for “Year of the Dragon”. Her pieces “Fruitless” and “Fireball” were previously published in Tempered Steel’s volume 33.

Meet contributor Alex Armstrong! Alex is a blind artist currently working to get their bachelors in fine arts. On the rare occasions they can be found not drawing, they are likely crocheting or listening to podcasts. Most of their work is inspired by the LGBT community that they are a part of, and their beloved pet rats, Tater and Tofu.

James Rice is currently an English Major at Colorado State University Pueblo. He is also in pursuit of minor degrees in Music, Psychology, Coaching, Exercise Science, and Honors. He currently serves as a student coach for the Colorado State University Pueblo Football team. After ten years of working as a martial arts instructor and a singer-songwriter, James returned to college where he quickly switched from a specific Exercise Science interest into the desire to work as a writer and teach collegiately after graduation. In that pursuit, he plans to get his master’s degree in creative writing after leaving CSU Pueblo. He has a strong belief in the promotion of Mental Health and tries to blend that into every teaching opportunity he can.

James is a published author. Most recently, his poem: The Woods, and his short story: The Skys an Orange, were published in Tempered Steel, a literary magazine based out of CSU-Pueblo. He’s also currently working as an editor on the creation of a set of Music Technology textbooks created by Grammy Award Winning music producer Carl Lucero.
