Today is such a special day.

My first Father’s Day as a Dad, Quinn is 1-month old today, and today is my parent’s wedding anniversary. My Dad would have loved being a Grandpa and I wish he would have gotten to meet Quinn. It would have been amazing seeing him become such a mush ball of a man around her.

People ask me what the most surprising thing about becoming a father has been, and it’s not the sleep (Read: lack of sleep), or the poopy diapers. It is the greater understanding of The Father’s love for us. I thought I understood God’s love for us, but loving Quinn has taught me a new greater understanding.

I am so thankful for this little bundle of joy and love this adventure with .

Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads out there. I miss you, Pops! Grateful for all you showed me and taught me and how you helped prepare me for this as much as you could. Thank you, God, for this amazing baby girl!

The past few days I spent time with amazing entrepreneurs around the country and our mentor, Pete Ochs, at his house in Wichita Kansas. Almost 2 years ago my friend, Greg Daley, invited me and 3 other guys to join him on weekly calls with Pete and it has literally changed my life and my business through learning from other Kingdom-minded business leaders.

Pete is one of the most inspiring and generous people I have ever met and words simply don’t do justice. We spent time visiting with all of his various Executive teams, visiting the Hutchison Prisons where he is providing hope and generational shift for prisoners, met with Louis a former prisoner who is changing lives through his business , and met with Mr. Marvin Martin - a 97-year old entrepreneur and truly wise soul.

We learned, laughed, had fun, cried, and encouraged each other to continue having a big vision that honors God, Serves People, Pursues Excellence, and wisely stewards Capital.

It is important for leaders to build a close community of other leaders that share the same values, vision, and have the trust and credibility to sharpen you.

I’m so thankful for this time and am leaving full of faith, hope, and courage to lead!

Beyond thankful for these two - and . I know it’s not goodbye, and it truly is see you soon. So, that makes it slightly easier, but dang are we going to miss you guys.

Your Yes to NYC and building Liberty Church has positively impacted so many people around the world. From providing care and outreach, jobs, community, and most importantly a chance to really understand who God is, how much he loves us, and how to follow Jesus.

Because of your Yes I met . Because of your Yes TSG found amazing people!

Doing life with y’all is fun, adventurous, and full of faith. You truly are impacting the generations with your faithfulness and, more than anything, we are blessed to call y’all family.

you’re one of the most generous champions of others that exists today. I’ve seen you selflessly give, support, cheer on, and rally behind others time and time again - including Nicole and Alex and Iridescent. I’ll never be surprised by how much success and blessing is coming your way because your faith is so big and your generosity is limitless. Thank you!

you are a dear friend and brother. Beyond excited to still run with you and .co and see this vision impact countless leaders around the world. But, having you here in NYC was really special. The hours of car rides to and from the mountains for Board Meetings 🏂🏂 and the honest conversations in our Cabinet meetings 🥃🥃 have helped me become a better leader, entrepreneur, and man. You’re the real deal, and seeing you step into this next adventure is absolutely inspiring. Thank you for leading so well!

I pray that as you move and step more fully into your next calling that others get this same experience. That you experience great community, people that will run with you and your family, and that you know there are thousands of people cheering you on!

This was posted yesterday on (give us a follow, by the way) but I got a lot of great feedback on it so I thought I’d share it here with my friends.

Some days you won’t find the motivation you’re looking for as a leader, entrepreneur, parent, partner, etc. those are the days where success is built….through your discipline.

You can’t be successful and have an aversion to discipline. Do the hard things, the undesirable things, the things you don’t love….that’s how you build momentum to grow and eventually have the ability to hire someone else, outsource, or partner with others who enjoy the things you don’t.

But, day 1, year 1, idea 1, whatever it is…it starts with discipline.

What’s the 1 thing you can commit to being disciplined about that you’ve been putting off?

Getting ready for an amazing Sunday at but with a special guest, . Just before the world shut down in 2020 and I had the opportunity to be guests at where she spoke at their Women’s Conference.

We had an amazing week and during the time there I had the chance to meet with Jamin via our dear friend Timon Friedli] and tossed around the idea of Jamin visiting NYC and hanging with us for a bit.

Well, fast-forward through some delays and now Jamin is here with us for 3-months to hangout, learn, and see all that NYC has to offer!

Special Birthday shout-out to someone you all “know” even if you haven’t had the chance to meet him. The one and only D$! Darrell is one of the first people I met and have known the longest since moving to NYC. We bonded over our love for jazz and the greatest city in the world. He’s been there for me time and time again and is one of the most dependable friends you’ll ever meet. Over the years we have both gotten married, celebrated new opportunities, and weathered crazy times as entrepreneurs and New Yorkers. But, I’ve never heard D$ speak ill of another person - it’s just not his way. In fact, I can always count on D$ to speak words of encouragement and truth over my life.

This is a photo of one of the years I did 100 Packs of Promise where we gathered and distributed backpacks full of basic needs to homeless on the streets of NYC. Of course D$ was there to help us and volunteered his day to serve this amazing city. D$ is the person I had breakfast with the morning of our wedding, and got to laugh and celebrate before one of the most important days of my life.

Find friends that make you better and believe in your best even when they see you sub-par.

The greatest city in the world is home to so many Heros. Our nation, while divided in many ways these days, is one that can rally and take steps forward. We face adversity and trials, but can only do so with the strength that comes from unity. I believe our best days are still ahead and those feelings of common ground and love for our neighbors that we experienced 20 years ago on this day should be a reminder to us all. Yes, never forget, but also let us do more than remember. Let us take steps forward as a nation, as a people, and as Brothers and Sisters to honor the lives we have lost, and loved ones whose lives were cut way too short.

Let us not only remember those lost this day, but the lives lost since, the first responders from lingering effects, our military who give everything to keep us safe, and our allies who helped us for decades since. Remember the feelings of love and unity. Never forget.

36 has a lot to live up to. As crazy as 35 was with its ups and downs and unpredictability….it was a year of friendship, and love. Ironically as the world continued to socially distance itself I felt my relationships grow stronger and closer. I felt God give me new strength and previously untapped wisdom to persevere and lead. I’m thankful for my family and friends and friends that are family. I’m hopeful for 36 and everything it brings. I love y’all! Thanks for another great one! 🙏🏽🙌🏽❤️

Consistency separates those who WANT from those who WILL. Make plans quietly take steps forward daily, and you’ll see the outcome.

I’ve seen countless people who want to start a business, create something new, or just take steps forward in their existing role - but, they talk more about the plan than putting in the work. Yes, and amen to working smarter not harder, but the “hard things” are called hard things because they’re really flippin’ hard. Make a plan, but put it into action. Make it a point to get to your first step quickly.

I believe in YOU and that you’re called to do big things. But, let’s celebrate progress rather than boast about plans!

What a whirlwind. Went from vacation to staff retreat to Florida to film with and .tv for .

All I can say is find friends that lift you up. Find a community that believes in you and speaks life into your dreams.

Also - work with top class pros. - you and your team are ridiculously amazing. What an honor and a case study in getting things done with excellence!!!
