A visionary collab by SPACE10 + oio studio, Products of Place uses AI to reimagine dinner plates made from locally abundant materials. 🍽️ Taking into consideration local industry, transportation, food cultures, + behaviors of the region’s population, the plates were then created! The final results were unexpected + revealed a lot of information about the areas explored. While not every plate is viable, they all feel familiar yet strange. 👀 Can you guess where some of these plates come from? Ted Bradley, founder of @tedbradley.studio in Boulder, had it made, with a super-stable (if super-corporate) job at Google. He left it all to pursue his dream of creating sculptural porcelain lighting pieces — an ambition hampered by the fact that experts in the field told him it’d be impossible to create what he envisioned. It took thousands of hours, but he got there — here’s how he did it. \\\ #dmtvmilkshake #designmilktv
How can young architects avoid designing buildings they hate? How can architecture solve the problems of multiple generations sharing a single home? In this week’s Milkshake, we visit Erin in her Oakland studio, for a show-and-tell of some of her recent work and a discussion on how she makes wheel-thrown tableware for the most exclusive tables in town. \\\ #dmtvmilkshake #designmilktv
As the co-founder of @materialkitchen, @eunicebyun has shepherded the production of some of the most beautiful home accessories on Earth: a sculptural peeler that looks straight out of a Calder sketch, a wood spoon so beautiful that it earned accolades on the @todayshow. Here, we talk with Eunice about getting Material products on @Oprah’s gift list — and about the significance of Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month. \\\ #dmtvmilkshake #designmilktv

Ward, founder of @ltwdesign, stages some of the most luxurious homes in the U.S. — and on this week’s Milkshake, she shares tips ‘n’ tricks from working with houses ranging “from $1 million to $20 million — and everything in between.” Spoiler: a pair of clippers can be a good friend in creating beautiful improvisational bouquets (if your yard is up to the challenge.) \\\ #dmtvmilkshake #designmilktv
It’s spring, and everything’s blooming — which was why we thought it was absolutely the right time to feature @futurejenn, founder of the trendsetting New York floral studio Future Flowers.
