Finally had a chance to put together our Top 10 Films of 2022.

Never an easy list to compile, with movies swapping and/or being knocked out of the top ten right up until the last minute. But we've cracked it, and (as is usually the case) the top spots didn't change much.

7 of the 10 we were able to watch in theaters. 9 were nominated for an Academy Award - 5 of those for best picture. We each had a movie in our personal top ten not make it into the final DSP Top 10. Only 1 of the 10 shared the same rank on both lists, and 1 was not seen by both of us (yet).

We made it a point to seek out more movies in 2022, especially on the big screen; traveling out of town if need be in order to watch more limited released films…

If you follow the Tiffin Drive-In Theater then you've probably seen that we have done a lot of work with them - especially covering all the new renovations that have taken place over the past year. This particular video plays each night before the first feature. We certainly enjoy doing it, and new owner Mike Cole has really championed our work.

A few months back we were contacted by Haylie Robinson, of Hayliestory, about being the film crew for a new travel show she was independently producing called Finding Festivals, which could potentially be airing on PBS later this year.

In the show, we follow Haylie to various festivals throughout Ohio (as well as surrounding states) capturing footage of the unique aspects of each one (including other things to do in the area), as well as her interviewing people involved with the event in order to "educate viewers on art, heritage, culture, community, history, agriculture and economics".

So far we have gone to:

Festival of Sail in Sandusky, OH
Saginaw Chippewa Pow Wow in Mt. Pleasant, MI
Dublin Irish Festival in Dublin, OH
This coming weekend we will be at the Toledo Jeep Fest, and we have a few more later this year and early next.
