KCPS Open House Schedule -

Each year schools hold open houses before the first day of class, giving parents/guardians, students and teachers an opportunity to meet.

This year’s Open Houses will all be held on Thursday, Aug. 29.

The times, by school are:

Kent County High School - 9 to 10 a.m.

Kent County Middle School - 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Galena Elementary School - 2 to 3 p.m.

H.H. Garnet Elementary School - 2 to 3 p.m.

Rock Hall Elementary School - 2 to 3 p.m.

On or about August 21, David A. Bramble, Inc. will start a project to improve the roadways of Mill Lane and Lee Avenue. The project is expected to last up to 3 days. During that time Mill Lane and Lee Avenue may be partially and/or entirely closed to traffic from the intersection of North Main Street during work hours 7am-5pm. The road will be reopened each day upon completion of work. During this time we will work to provide all residents access to and from their homes.
