Dick B., Good Book Publishing Company Publishes books, audios, videos and video series on the history of A.A. and of the Christian Recovery Movement based on 25 years of research by Dick B. Dick B.

is the author's pen name. Dick is an author, historian, Bible student, retired attorney, CDAAC, and an active and recovered member of Alcoholics Anonymous, continuously clean and sober for more than 27 years. He formed and owns Good Book Publishing Company in 1990. He has devoted his life since then to traveling, interviewing, researching, studying, publishing, and disseminating the comprehensive,

truthful, accurate facts about the origins, history, founders, Christian ideas, founding, original Akron A.A. Christian Fellowship and its program, its successes, the changes that have occurred in A.A., the applicability of "old school" A.A. principles and practices in recovery from alcoholism and drug addiction today with God's help. As of 2013, Dick B. has published 46 titles, over 1500 articles, a newsletter, several blogs, a Christian Recovery Radio Show, and media information on the role that God, His Son Jesus Christ, and the Bible have played and can play in recovery from alcoholism and addiction today. Dick's writings cover the Christian organizations and people who preceded and influenced A.A., the Christian upbringing of A.A. cofounders Bill W. and Dr. Bob, the heavy influence on A.A. of events and organizations and people in Vermont, how the first three AAs got sober, the original Akron A.A. Christian fellowship program, its successes, and the "new version" of the program published by Bill W. in the 12 Steps and Big Book in 1939, and the secularization and idolatry that have crept into recovery thinking and practices since the 1939 changes in the program.
