Today is Dave Grohl’s birthday. Here is his birth announcement from the Vindicator and a picture of the house he lived in at 675 Perkinswood SE in Warren.
Dave gave us two of the biggest events in local rock history. The ribbon cutting of the alley in downtown Warren and record store day in Niles.
Foo Fighters rocked The Record Connection in Niles for Record Store Day April 18,2015.
150 people got to see the Foos
rock a small store front like it was a stadium.
Chris Monteneri caught Dave on a Harley on Rt. 46 after the show.
The band went to downtown Warren to check out Dave Grohl Alley.
Dave went up to Cleveland and rocked with Joan Jett who was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame that evening.
Dave is as cool and as down to earth as they come. What an unforgettable day.
Dave told Joe Walsh how much fun he had there and Joe stopped by the Record Connection later for an autograph session.
And of course, how can anyone forget Dave showing up to cut the ribbon at Dave Grohl Alley.
It doesn’t get any cooler than that! Thanks for the great times Dave!
