How LCloud Productions Came to Be

In 2010, when I was 13 years old I decided that I wanted to start creating YouTube videos because they looked fun. I had no idea at the time how much actually went into it, but I knew that I wanted to tell stories and create something.

Starting out with nothing but a camcorder and an old computer, I recorded short videos with some of my family members in my room. Though they were blurry, laggy, and had terrible sound I kept at it because I loved doing it. I got a free editing software my old computer could barely keep up with, and continued learning as I filmed.

One Christmas, my mom bought me a cheap 20 dollar camcorder, I was so excited! I could finally record outside. The picture quality, while still not great, was so far ahead of the we**am I was using previously, and the sound...Oh wow was it better! It was then when I started making videos that were a little more complex. Different angles, and moves, as I tried to further self-teach myself filmmaking.

When I was 16, I got a job and began saving up for newer and better equipment. I bought a new digital camcorder, a shotgun microphone, an audio recorder, camera bags, and some better editing software as well as a new computer that could handle it. I continued making new videos, getting a little better with each. I was ready to start practicing visual effects!
