SBG Television This is the official page of SBG Television, the television arm of Siskiyou Broadcast Group. Shasta, California.

SBG Television was founded in 1992 as Action Video Entertainment by Bill Janis, John Googins and John McCarthy as a video production company. It provided goods and service in the field of broadcast quality videos and was the primary video source for Mt. Shasta's local cable channel 3 (King Videocable/Continental Cablevision/MediaOne/Northland Cable Television). It was taken over by Mike Summers in

2005 and was essentially dormant until 2010. It is currently being run as a service as it restructures itself and looks to become and broadcast company. As a part of that broadcast company, AVE announced on July 3, 2017, that the company was returning to its old home base of Mt. We also merged with The Wacko Radio Network to create the new Action VR Network, which is based out of Coconut Creek, Florida, and officially hit the air on July 6, 2017. Out of it came Action VR TV, which would officially replace Action Video Entertainment in the summer of 2019. Action VR TV (and AVE prior) began airing content on YouTube, but deleted its YouTube channel in March 2021 immediately after the permanent banishment of theDove TV for supposedly "violating their community standard". That caused Action VR TV to take a stand against YouTube. We now broadcast our content and a few bonuses on our Rumble and Odysee channels! But as they say in the business, "Stay tuned... more to come!"

As of October 9, 2023, Action VR TV was co-owned by Siskiyou Broadcast Group of Mount Shasta, California and AVR Productions of Coconut Creek, Florida. In December 2023, Siskiyou Broadcast Group began the process of relaunching Action Video Entertainment as an on-demand internet streaming service. (Action VR TV is now known as The Action Radio Zone and is solely owned by Bob Guercia.) Instead, on June 26, 2025, AVE would once again rebrand. This time for good as SBG Television, the new television broadcasting arm of Siskiyou Broadcast Group. SBG Television operates various station identifications under the SBG banner.

BREAKING NEWS: Action Video Entertainment returns in 2024 under Siskiyou Broadcast Group banner

Siskiyou Broadcast Group is proud to announce the reacquisition of Mount Shasta original Action Video Entertainment, the video production service that ran off and on from 1992 to 2019 and broadcast local sports on what is now Vyve Broadband from 1992 to 2005.

AVE was founded by Bill Janis, John Googins and John McCarthy in January 1992 and produced their first project eight months later. AVE was acquired by Michael Summers and ran from 2005 to 2019 as strictly a video service. It also had a brief stint on KGEC Channel 26 in Redding, now KDRC theDove TV.

AVE merged with the Wacko Radio Network in 2010 to form Action VR Network, but no attempt was made to launch the TV network renamed Action VR TV in 2019.

AVE is splitting from Action VR TV, which is solely owned by AVR Broadcasting, who also owns Action VR Network and has dual ownership with SBG. SBG are now minority owners. AVE is set for relaunch around the same time as the slow launch of SBG radio and TV stations. More details to come...

Action VR Network became principal owner of AVE in 2018.

On April 25, 2019, Action Video Entertainment has announced that it will cease operations on June 30, 2019. Operations officially ended on July 1, 2019, effectively ending 26 1/2 years of video excellence and broadcast production. The company will transition into a new entity known as Action VR TV sometime in the fall of 2019.
