A little re-introduction: !!!

My name is Emily. I wrote "A Peacock in Paris" as a simple poem when I was pregnant with my daughter. I shared it with my glorious artist Mother, and together we created the book you see here...

It took 2 years for me to fully understand what I was doing, how to get it made, and how to get it to people we thought would love it. But in 2018 IT WORKED! We had some serious community support, and pro-printing guidance and management from Kalos Print Services here in Topeka.

Plume Publishing was born, and with it the first in a series of culturally inclusive bilingual books!!

Pierre, the friendly peacock, takes you on an adventure around Paris, France. He teaches you a little about the language, the culture, and takes you to some of the best places in the city. Through vibrant watercolor and playful prose it is truly an adventure you and your young reader will want to experience again and again!!
