Took a little bit. And I think I’m still want to incorporate @mtl.asm 856 into the mix. But everything here is random and starts from a single note. The pitches are random. The time division of the pitches are random. It changes octaves up and down randomly. Even the mix knobs fluctuate randomly. The only thing I choose is the key that it plays in, the scale, and the global tempo. Still plan to incorporate a random looper. Possibly internal and combining the 856. But we’ll see.
I do want to note, that this isn’t really supposed to sound good. So much as it is an exercise in auto generative music, and pushing myself to think and work outside the box.
@ryan_ringle helped me make the Pedals & Chill logo. Now he’s made this wonderful animation for my videos! If you’re looking for any graphic work, definitely hit him up!
@thenammshow was a blast. Got to play some great gear and meet even more amazing people! Shout out to @isaias01, @searchfindsearch, @hondofelder, @gearfever, @isaackleemusic, and @wildfiresprojekt for easily my most fun night there. They’re all great and amazing people you should be following and encouraging!
Now back to standard Pedals & Chill. I played a single A note into the @mtl.asm 856 For Zellersasn, pitch shifted it and messed with all the parameters to get this pretty drone into @tomkatpedals Cloudy.
Sprinkled with some practice volume swells with the strat volume knob on top.
A deep dive into all the sounds and textures of Woozy. In this video I pair it with Guitar, Bass, Synth, and vocals!
Champion Leccy Woozy Feature
Champion Leccy's Woozy pedal was used on every track of this song. Sometimes subtle, many times not so subtle. The delay can especially be heard on the drums, which provides the 'slapback' effect for the snare.
Taking inspiration from the sonic textures of Woozy, and the artwork, I was inspired to give the song a dark, ominous, choppy water feeling. The initial inspiration for capturing these emotions was an old sea shanty titled 'Roll The Old Chariot Along'.
The video was shot on a dock at Justin Logan's studio in Ada, OK known locally as “The Cabin”.
Champion Leccy's Woozy is a marvelous modulation/lofi echo machine. The wave selection on the modulation is especially brilliant. Paired with a depth knob that can grow from wonderfully gentle to completely outrageous. Combined they can create classic sounds of chorus, vibrato and some unusual yet very inspiring tones. The lofi echo is a quick delay that, when increasing the feedback, lends to some nice garbled tape voicing. Kill the delay and crank the feedback and you get some fascinating shimmering almost ring modulator-esque accents.
Thanks again to Champion Leccy for sending this sensational soundbox over.
You can purchase Champion Leccy's Woozy here, as well as many other fantastic effects.

I tried to do this in a live video. Couldn’t get audio to work quite right at first. And frankly what the iPad mic captured was nothing like what I was hearing, and sounded like garbage. SO! Here’s a sudo properly done one. The chain is insane. But if you have questions about it. Feel free to ask! 🤗
Little morning tranquillity.

Not sure many people know the story of what sparked the precursor to @pedalsandchill, so buckle up! It’s story time!
I never really used IG that much. Before pedals and chill, I actually used it to showcase my analog photography. While also posting the occasional song snippet. Around a year ago I had a pretty brutal troll go through all my videos and say some pretty hateful things. Instead of arguing back, or getting in a fight with them, I did a #7songdaychallenge. For 7 days I posted 1 clip a day of a song that impacted and inspired me. My friend @adam_d819 reminded me earlier today that the anniversary for this had either come up or was about to come up. He’s doing it again, so I decided to do it again as well. That said for the next 7 days, you’re probably gonna hear some of the old stuff I used to play. Basically lots of soul music. 😆
Anyways, here’s song one. I started it off last year with this. And it seemed fitting to start with it again.
Backing melody and rhythm made on @critterguitari Organelle, @chaseblissaudio Mood, Gen Loss.
@mtl.asm PURPLL for guitar synth.
I’m really loving this combo.
@placidaudio Copperphone and Hexe Melusine III on vocals.
@chaseblissaudio/@cooper.fx Gen Loss on guitar.
Working on a new patch for @empress_effects #zoia. Still have some finalizing to do. But it’s almost ready! For this I was running @oldbloodnoise Excess into Zoia.
