The decades-long University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier University Musketeers basketball rivalry has been touted as one of the largest and most intense rivalries in college sports.

It has bewitched fans across the nation as the teams face off in the famed Skyline Chili Crosstown Shootout, an annual game combining nearly a century of history between two NCAA Division 1 college basketball teams in northern Cincinnati.

The two have played 91 times with its 92nd meeting scheduled for Saturday at Fifth Third Arena. In the 91 meetings, the Bearcats lead the series 51-40 over the Musketeers.

But the Musketeers may have a few more fans cheering them on this year and in the years after about 294 miles away at Cheatham Middle School in Tennessee.

The decades-long University of Cincinnati Bearcats and Xavier University Musketeers rivalry has been called one of the most intense in college sports.
