No more Bakaev teenagers! My baby boy is TWENTY!! Our family wouldn’t have been complete without Pierce Jeffery. This last year took a major left turn in his life with a severe diagnosis of ulcerative colitis which led to having to withdraw from OU to move back home in order to focus on getting well. It has disrupted his life in so many ways, but I have have seen him grow so much through his suffering. We are believing God for full remission and new beginnings this year for our sweet son!!

Happy birthday to my wonderful husband! He’s not on FB (much smarter than I am!), but I want to celebrate him nonetheless. He loves his family so well and we would be lost without him. I’m so grateful for all the amazing adventures we’ve been able to experience around the world thanks to him and his hard work and sacrifice. He has the biggest heart and spoils us all rotten. He is fiercely loyal to his family and friends, aches deeply for injustices he sees, and rescues every spider and snake he can (when I’m not looking). Join me in raising a glass to Erkin Bakaev 🥂 🎉 ❤️

After a covid hiatus, the AWA Snowflake Craft Fair is back!! Our vendors are eager to bring you their wares, so mark your calendars for November 12. It will be a great way to kick off the holiday festivities, and even Santa and Mrs. Claus will be stopping in! If you’re a vendor, you still have time to book a table. Happy National Daughter day to the light of my life! I adore my sons, but having a daughter is one of my greatest gifts. Everyone said it would happen eventually and this summer it has happened—she’s become my friend! I love spending time with her and I think she might feel the same 😁. I admire her many gifts and how she keeps our family running so well while I am abroad. I love her friends and how she loves them. There couldn’t have been a better girl given to me!!

There are many things I love about being part of AWA American Women’s Association), but I think my favorite is celebrating with these dynamic, diverse, and lovely women. Our December general meeting was all about Bahrain National Day, and we did it up right!! Those who know me well know I LOVE color, so these are my people!!!

After a three year hiatus, my boy is back in the court and he’s ON FIRE 🔥 🔥🔥🔥. I’m so happy his senior year is feeling back to normal. GO FALCONS!!!
