TANNENBAUM FOREST OPENS NOV. 25; VOLUNTEER HELP SOUGHT

Volunteers are sought to help staff the Tannenbaum Forest in the Festhalle, Amana, as it opens the weekend after Thanksgiving. Organizers report there are many available times and dates available, especially during the first weekend, Nov. 25, 26 and 27. The Forest is open Friday through Sunday Nov. 25 to Dec. 18.

Individuals, businesses or community groups who would like to volunteer are asked to text Emilie Hoppe at (319) 350-0869. Please include your name/group name and the date and time you can volunteer.

Williamsburg High School student Nate Crow was welcomed home Tuesday afternoon after being hospitalized for over three months following a diving accident in a farm pond in early July. Students, parents and the high school band lined the Williamsburg town square to honor Nate, who has undergone two surgeries and months of physical therapy to regain physical skills as he recovered from a broken vertebrae. He plans to return to classes on Monday.

Please help us welcome Nathaniel home!! Nathaniel is a Williamsburg HS Student. He suffered a terrible injury in a pond accident over the summer. He has made a remarkable recovery. After months in the hospital, he is scheduled to come home on Tuesday, October 18th. Time to be determined. Let’s give this young man and his family a warm Williamsburg welcome!!
